Scorebuilders 2016

North Central State Colleges PTA class of 2016 is hosting a Scorebuilders event for 2016.

The event will take place on a single weekend (Saturday and Sunday). It is a 2 day event that will help you prepare for the Boards Exam. Scorebuilders is a highly rated study tool that is used across the nation. After taking the weekend course you will be able to (the following bullets were taken from the Scorebuilders website):

 

"Identify current strengths and weaknesses by answering challenging multiple-choice questions.

 

Use improved decision-making skills when answering multiple-choice questions with good, better, and best options.

 

Design and implement a comprehensive study plan based on the latest information available from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.

 

Examine the intricacies of computer-based testing.

 

Utilize innovative individual and group study tools to enhance the efficiency of study sessions and maximize applied learning opportunities.

 

Develop strategies to maximize the effectiveness of study sessions.

 

Utilize quantitative and qualitative measures to determine readiness to take the National Physical Therapist Assistant Examination.

We are planning for this event either late January 2016 or early February 2016. The 2 possible dates that we are currently considering are January 30th and 31st or February 6th and 7th. The event would take place on Saturday from 8am-5pm and then Sunday from 8am-3pm at North Central State College:

The purpose of this blog is to help keep those interested in the Scorebuilders event without the use of  facebook (Facebook group exists, but we understand not everyone has facebook or likes to use it).

 

The cost of a Scorebuilders event is $3,500 regardless of the amount of people attending. The more people who sign up for the Scorebuilders event, the cheaper the price is per person. If we get at least one or two schools to attend the price usually ranges between $50-$90 per person. The price per person depends on how many people commit to the weekend class.

 

 

There is a seperate cost for a study guide. Each school will be in charge of ordering study guides for their class. This is typically done around August. If each class orders their study guides together then there is a discount that is applied to the cost. In the past the price per student has ended up being about $56.50 with the discount. The class officers are responsible for collecting money for the books. Each school treasurer should include a statement stating the location (North Central State College) and date (TBA) of Scorebuilders event along with a final check for the books.
